DISNEY ANNOUNCES “IPARENTING MEDIA
AWARDS OUTSTANDING PRODUCTS OF 2008”
Winners include Mother of 7 DVDs, Jumpstart Advanced Preschool World Premium Edition, Kideosyncrasy Volume 2, BoostKids Program and Baby Tooth Memory Book
EVANSTON, Ill. - Aug. 4, 2008, - Disney’s iParenting Media today announced the winners of the iParenting Media Awards Outstanding Products of 2008, including items ranging from high-tech toys, safety gear and educational software to helpful books, audio CDs, DVDs, and Web sites. Award-winning products were selected based on their fun value, product quality, ease of use, play duration, educational nature and uniqueness, among other criteria.
“We are proud to introduce the 2008 Outstanding Award winners to our loyal consumers and to be a trusted source of information for parents given all of the choices that parents have in today’s marketplace,” said Alvin All, Director and General Manager of iParenting Media. “Over the last decade the iParenting Media Awards have continued to grow as a valuable resource by recognizing some of the best products available to families.”
Thousands of products were submitted for judging in 20 categories. All products submitted for the iParenting Media Awards Outstanding Products of 2008 underwent a thorough evaluation process that uses internationally recognized standard of quality assurance.
To be considered for an iParenting Media Award, companies submitted four identical samples of each product that were precisely matched using iParenting's state-of-the-art technology to experienced reviewers within iParenting's database. Products were thoroughly reviewed and evaluated by a variety of sources including experts and families. Results were compiled and submitted to the iParenting Media Executive Committee for final approval.
